Sotera Defense Solutions is seeking a Tivoli Administrator with a passion for data and best practices to administer the Tivoli environment and to ensure on-going functionality and efficiency of Tivoli in support of the the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Be part of a team that provides state-of-the-art IT engineering and services in system administration, network engineering, database administration, cloud architecture, applications monitoring, software and hardware management, customer service desk operations providing as many as three tiers of service, and user training for the FBI.  


The Systems Administrator will: 

  • Install, maintain, upgrade, and configure the enterprise identity manager products, g., IBM Tivoli Identity Manager/IBM Tivoli Access Manager
  • Understand and apply advanced administration, management and performance tuning techniques in a large Tivoli Environment
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting of system problems/issues with external stakeholders with emphasis on root cause analysis and coordinate or implement resolution with other infrastructure team
  • Assist in migrations as needed through the standard development lifecycle
  • Provide Windows, Linux and UNIX operating system administration to include central authentication and authorization services
  • Provide after hours and weekend support to address hardware and software
  • Apply firmware patches and routine maintenance updates
  • Provide for critical incident response and problem management including root cause of system problems, such as configuration issues resulting in operational performance degradation or system outages, supporting the Government with information and advice on the necessary correction actions and/or interim workarounds
  • Create/update/execute required documentation, g., scripts, reports, pans, etc
  • Responsible for monitoring software upgrade requirements and ensuring compliance and compatibility with existing configuration
  • Assist in the development of user and system administration documentation.







Job Requirements

  • Top Secret clearance
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with IBM TIM/TAM and other similar enterprise products
  • Minimum of 3 years of UNIX & Windows operating systems and shell scripting
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with requirements tracking products such as Team Foundation Server (TFS) and JIRA
  • Experience in troubleshooting and in articulating corrective actions and/or interim workarounds to customers
  • Excellent writing skills




Qualified candidates must possess an Active Top Secret clearance
