Description

Sotera, a Top 50 Government Contractor recognized by the Washington Business Journal, is looking for top talent to join our team!

 

We have a Process Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer opportunity in Chantilly or Crystal City available for our mission critical customer in Washington, DC.

 

Qualified candidates must possess a Top Secret clearance.

 

The successful candidate will be:       

  • Serve as a business process consultant, work with organizations to redesign technical business processes, and provide clients with management consulting on organization redesign and new business processes.
  • Provide direction and technical leadership to high–priority projects.
  • Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and enhancements to current systems.
  • Leverage highly technical knowledge to ensure efficient design, development, and implementation.
  • Direct, instruct, and review the work of other business consultants.
  • Act as the primary technical resource in all phases of the development and implementation process.

 

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 5 - 8 years of experience, or a Master's and 3 to 5 years of experience.
  • 3-5 years of systems engineering in a software development environment.
  • Experience in an Agile Development Environment.
  • Ability to communicate business needs to technical teams.
  • Have an understanding of Cloud computing environments and the complexities involved with developing systems that operate in them.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT consulting with supporting DoD clients in business process reengineering and business process mapping
  • Experience with effective requirements, data gathering, analysis, and stakeholder interactions around business process and technology needs
  • Experience with Event–driven Process Chain (EPC) modeling and DoD's end–to–end Business Enterprise Architecture 
  • Knowledge of business process modeling methodologies, notations, and relevant tools, including modeling and visualization tools, such as ARIS, System Architect, or Visio
  • Business Process Reengineering or Business Process Improvement Certification

 

Additional preferred skills/experience:

  • Ansible
  • Scripting
  • Understanding of basic programming techniques use in languages such as C++ and Java.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with analysis of enterprise–wide business functions and business processes in collaboration with multiple business organizations
  • Knowledge of business process reengineering best practices
  • Ability to develop briefs and support senior management and executive communication
