Sotera, a Top 50 Government Contractor recognized by the Washington Business Journal, is looking for top talent to join our team! We're seeking a Configuration Management Specialist.


Qualified candidates will have active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.


The Configuration Management Specialist:

  • Collaborates with senior management across the IT Unit and external customer to define, refine, and maintain strict adherence to the Configuration Management Plan. 
  • Strong writing skills to create and maintain required Sentinel infrastructure documentation.
  • Creates and maintains CM process, best practice and policy documents to ensure CM rigor and improve efficiency.
  • Leads effort to work with infrastructure team to track and document the current environment and track changes as they occur using a formal Change Management process.
  • Performs change management and release management activities.
  • Works with the Sentinel Security team to ensure all required documentation is updated and current as per client policies.
  • Supports other relevant responsibilities as determined necessary by configuration management.


  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.
  • Bachelors plus 6 years’ related experience.
  • 3 years with release planning and configuration management.
  • Experience managing configuration baselines and managing changes to baselines as a result of defect or new requirements.
  • Experience with agile project planning a plus.
